The shofar is sounded loudly and proudly from the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron during Yom Haatzmaut prayer services. Upon the completion of the sounding of the shofar, the worshippers sing ‘L’Shana Haba B’Yerushalayim’- a song expressing the communal Jewish yearning for the final redemption and the building of the third temple in Jerusalem.
